Idaho's beautiful Hells Canyon Rim Country provides the perfect backdrop for this beautifully restored 20's era lodge and motel facility. Jack and Aria Croly, your Innkeepers, have successfully captured the rustic flavor of west-central Idaho's historic past and at the same time introduced several new dimensions to the complex, offering their guests a truly unique experience.

Blue pine walls, bedecked with hunting trophies and memorabilia from Idaho's colorful past, traditional wood furnishings, including Mahogany trim, will take you back in time for a nostalgic glimpse of Idaho's past.

The Hunters Inn was originally an "auto park" hotel, café and gas station, built during the rampage of "Bonnie & Clyde," around 1927, by Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Woods. The facility was a favorite gathering place for the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp) boys who came to know Mrs. Woods as "Ma." It's told that the ghost of Ma Woods still roams harmlessly among the rooms and hallways of the inn, perhaps in search of some of her long lost sons.

The Crolys' restoration efforts didn't stop when the old hotel had been returned to most of its original state after sitting idle for twelve years. In addition to the basics, the main floor has been converted into a cozy and comfortable sitting area, a beautiful chandeliered dining room with all-wood decor, and a spacious kitchen with a red brick hearth.

In addition to these amenities, a Bistro Espresso Coffee Shoppe now offers guests gourmet coffees (the best in town), pastries and Italian sodas. Many a yarn has been spun around the warm confines of the dining area in years past and thanks to the Crolys, the tradition will continue.

The five upstairs rooms in the hotel are effectively decorated in much the same manner as they were in the past, and are continually being upgraded and improved upon to provide more comfort for the guests.

The past meets the present at The Hunters Inn, providing the traveler with all the warmth and comfort of home while offering a taste of history and nostalgia in Idaho's Heartland.

Jack's now-famous 1962 Chrysler "Stretch" limousine adds yet another dimension to the charm of the Hunters Inn Complex. The popular Limo is available to the general public as well as to guests of the Hunters.

Hunters Inn is located in downtown Cambridge, Idaho (Pop. 374) at the junction of Highways 95 and 71, the gateway to the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area.  The area around Cambridge offers some of the country's greatest outdoor sporting opportunities, including river rafting, boating, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting.
